Hilary has had a lifetime associated with exhibiting, breeding and judging. Initially, with her parents Miniature and Toy Poodles, and then with her own Afghan Hounds, the most well known of which was the UK's first all black male champion, CH. Isfahan Fiesal Ibn Sadiq of Kushbudar. Hilary also continues to play a very active part with her local ring craft training club.
Hilary and Martin discovered the Silken Windhound in 2006 and became the proud owners of their first silken's in 2009. Since then, Hilary has embraced the breed and her next two silken's were a brother and sister from the Endevor Dance Litter, both of whom have gone on to do very well in the show ring. Hilary's vision was such that she imported ISWS & UKC Ch Allagante Winsome Riveria from Jane Taylor in America. The 8 wonderful puppies from the pairing of River and the beautiful Alize (Endevor Flashdance) are each proving to be great examples of the breed, doing well both in the show ring and racing....and of course on the couch !
Members of the UK Silken Windhound Club (UKSWC) and the International Silken Windhound Society (ISWS), Hilary has shown her dedication globally which has seen her nominated as current Chairperson of the UKSWC; the EU Delegate on the ISWS Board of Director's between 2015 and 2018; and selected to judge the puppy and veteran sweepstakes at the prestigious annual ISWS Silkenfest, hosted in Washington, USA, 2014.
Hilary and Martin are passionate about the breed and are keen to promote quality dogs, true to type and with correct confirmation. To achieve this goal requires patience and dedication to ensure planned litters are carefully researched and will bring the appropriate genetic diversity to the gene pool. Whilst this is not a 'quick win' journey, working with other like minded breeders, knowledge and resources can be shared and pulled together to achieve the desired results. The next chapter with the 'team' commenced with Morgandell Tioga siring 5 beautiful puppies summer 2015, and more laterly the next generation of Kushbudar puppies arrived late 2017.
Additionally, Hilary and Martin are proud to be home to five BISS silkens, 3 being UK bred. In 2018 a bitch from the first litter attained her Champion crown
